The Women of Promise program was initiated in 1999 as a result of a recommendation from the Presidential Council of Alumnae (PCA). The Women of Promise program recognizes current female Michigan Tech students from each academic department who go above and beyond what is expected of them in terms of being a well-rounded student - one who has demonstrated academic achievement, campus and community leadership, good citizenship, creativity, and other characteristics of high achieving individuals. In short, women who exemplify the early criteria one would consider in selecting future inductees to the Presidential Council of Alumnae.
This is an excellent opportunity for current female students to interact with successful Michigan Tech Alumnae. A goal of Women in Promise is to begin developing a close relationships with our outstanding students early on.
